The weekend was amazing because I was surrounded by heartfelt people, and had the chance to be with my family and friends. I have been blessed to have lived and traveled throughout the world, and there really is no place like Whiteville, NC.

Moskow’s first entree into film came as Robin Wright Penn’s stand-in on the movie “Hounddog,” soon followed by several TV appearances.

Most notably, she was cast for three seasons in the hit “One Tree Hill,” on which her recurring role as the naughty “Patty” garnered Moskow more attention from producers. Other screen performances include “N.C.Wanted.” in which she touchingly portrayed crime victim Alice Burgess.

As computer webisodes began to gain global popularity, Cari played roles on two action web series, “Stranger Things” and “Port City P.D,” which aired worldwide via satellite distribution.

“Stranger Things” won a 2008 Parsec Award for excellence in science fiction podcasts and podcast novels. Moskow also created the role of Angie in the newly released DVD movie, “Butchered” and acted in the hit movie, “Nights in Rodanthe” with Richard Gere, as Diane Lane’s stand-in.

She relocated to New York City in 2008 for extensive training in scene study, Meisner acting technique, vocal production, and the Williamson Movement technique. In New York, she appeared as a guest on the talk show pilot, “It’s Late with Gunnar Nelson.”

Moskow currently lives Los Angeles, where she is prepping for the 2011 pilot season and is also hard at work creating a show called “Freshly Picked.”

Her mother Kathy and father Steve moved to Whiteville when she was 1 year old. A few years later her sister, Megan, was born.

Growing up here, Moskow was involved in sports, competing on Whiteville Senior High School’s tennis, soccer, track, and basketball teams. She is also an award-winning equestrian.

She received an Associate of Arts degree from Peace College, where she was inducted into the academic honor society, Phi Theta Kappa. She graduated from UNC-CH in 2001 with a broadcast journalism degree and communications degree concentrating in media production.

While at Chapel Hill, Moskow discovered her love of theatre and acting, spending every extra moment in acting classes and rehearsal with Joan Darling, her first acting coach.

Upon graduation in 2003, she took the advice of many who recommend seeing the world. Adventurous and a lover of Spanish culture, Moskow took the opportunity to travel before concentrating on her acting career.

A good friend from South America encouraged her to explore Peru, where along with two other college friends, she lived for six months.

She traveled throughout the region exploring Macchu Picchu, the Nazca Lines and surfing her way up the exotic coast.

Upon returning to the United States, Moskow immersed herself in her goal of becoming a professional cinema and TV actor. Soon signed by a top theatrical and modeling agent, she began auditioning while continuing her study of the craft.

Her favorite pecan dish is sweet potato casserole with candied pecan topping, which her family eats every Thanksgiving, and will positively make Columbus County pecans a key ingredient in her new project.
